Postgrad

A list of our current postgraduate students can be found here.

The Algebra & Combinatorics Group, in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, is concerned with the wide range of research topics. In algebra, they concentrate on combinatorial theory of groups and semigroups, ranging from theoretical considerations to development of computational methods. In combinatorics we investigate a wide range of combinatorial structurs, as well as interactions with geometry and computer science.

We actively seek outstanding final year undergraduates, expected to gain a First class degree, or similar, in mathematics, interested in joining us to do Ph.D. research. Funding may be available from the EPSRC, or other sources, depending on the academic qualifications and nationality of the applicant.
